Say hello to the Hazel Dress from Victory Patterns. Hannah and I partnered up on this dress sample. That is, she asked me to make it for her and I obliged. We had been brainstorming for some time about the perfect fabric to use and I think we really nailed it with this feather-soft double gauze.
This sample is a size 4, with the bodice side seams and bust dart a size 6. The length is on the shorter side, making it just right for layering with tights and boots, as Hannah does. Or when the weather warms a bit, bare your legs and slip on some clogs. If you like a longer skirt, just add a few inches where the pattern indicates. There is no option for a sleeveless version but for those of you with some experience, this would be a simple adjustment which would give you a lovely summer dress.
The Hazel Dress pattern comes together without a hitch and yields a comfy and modern dress with lots of femininity. I mean, just look at that bow—so elegant!
