New Prints and the Deep Breath Quilt Pattern

Weeks Ringle, the mastermind (along with her husband, Bill)  behind FunQuilts and books like The Modern Quilt Workshop have published an online quilt pattern to raise money and awareness for an organization particularly dear to them:  The Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago.  The pattern is available free or by donation as a PDF (you can read about the 190 mile bike ride fundraiser they just completed) and all monies collected will be turned in September 10th!  I love this pattern and it's name-- The Deep Breath Quilt.  We could all use some of that.

New Fabric!  There are apples, chickens (and their eggs), floral, and
graphic prints in from the geniuses at Alexander Henry (some of the 20
bolts are pictured above).  The rest of our Kokka shipment of Far, Far
Away II is in as well.  I have positioned myself and my sewing machine
right in front of the air conditioner and plan to sew this heatwave
away.
