Cancer Craftacular!

We recently got word of this fabulous and fun crafting-for-good event happening in just a couple of weeks. The details are included below. We have registration forms at the store if you’d like to sign up an we’ll even pledge you! If you have crafting supplies that meet the descriptions below and are looking for a place to drop them off, we’re happy to collect things at the store.
“All of our hats and blankets will be given to Randal Children’s Hospital, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, and OHSU.  The funds raised from our hourly pledges will be given to The Children’s Cancer Association.
We are looking for knitters, sewers, and crocheters who want to come join us at the Historic Overlook House from 3:00 pm May 10th until 3:00 pm May 11th.  Come for 2 hours, 5, hours, 10 hours, or the whole 24 - we would love to have you.”

You don’t knit, crochet or sew?  There are other ways you can help with the 24 Hour Cancer Craftacular:
*Spread the word! Forward this post to your friends and family, church groups, schools, and co-workers.  Pass this along to your customers!
*Donate materials!  We are looking to increase our stock of soft yarn for hats and fabric for blankets. We have received some donations, but can always use more!  Do you have extra yarn or fabric at home? Batting or thread? (All materials MUST come from a non-smoking environment)
*Donate money!  Pass along this info to a crafter in your life and be a pledge sponsor for them.
