Upcoming Events in June: Modified Style and Portland Frocktails!

We are happy to be  sponsoring a couple of great, social, fashion events here in town next month. The first one many of you are probably familiar with, we've been proud sponsors of for years, and you all have contributed the fabric for during our fabric drives the last two years--Modified Style Portland's Fashion Show! It is such a fun event, always for a good cause, and so inspiring. Not only is the focus on sustainable fashion, using only donated fabrics, AND a charity event, but it is also open to anyone. This is one of the most delightful aspects of this show for me, to see that anyone interested is able to participate. There are different categories for judging, so you aren't comparing an amateur's work to a seasoned professional. We have two (!!) Bolt team members participating this year--Sarah and Cate. So come out and cheer them on, along with all the other fabulous, creative, brave designers and models. This year's event is taking place on Thursday, June 28th. You can find out more details at their website here.

The other event we are happy to be supporting is the first annual Portland Frocktails party! Saturday, June 30th, sewists from around the area are invited to gather, show off their me-made darlings and enjoy a little food and drink. It's a great way to connect with other sewists in person. These events have been gaining momentum in other cities both stateside and abroad. Time for Portland to join in! Tickets are available here.
