What a practical book for those who love to wear skirts. It contains 24 different skirt patterns in one book and at $21.95, that's a whole lot of bang for your buck. Do you know how much that many patterns would cost if they were packaged and sold individually? Jeez, let's not even think about that. Whether you're a sewing rookie or a seasoned sewist, this book of classic skirt patterns is a great addition to your pattern or sewing resource library. Wendy Wards' instructions are thorough and she offers a ton of helpful information and tips for beginners.
The Front Button Up Skirt made out of a Lizzy House cotton lawn (not online yet but available by phone order for out of town customers) paired with a navy knit Nettie Bodysuit by Closet Case Files. (Also no on line yet)
A circle skirt made from a cool black and white rayon print with elastic waistband.
A short pencil style skirt in a graphic cotton linen blend. (Sorry, we are already sold out of this print).
All the patterns are in the back of the book and are all layered on top of one another with each version having its own color to help distinguish between them all. I would say on average that each pattern has about five pieces and they have to be lined up to form a whole pattern piece, just like with PDF patterns. That being said, if you are not the kind of person who has patience for that kind of initial preparation, this book might not be for you.
