Just In (Part 2): Liberty of London, Japanese and African Imports, So Much Double Gauze, and New Lotta

by Cameron

As promised, Just In, part 2! We have so many beauties for you to peruse - and some are even online (but if the apple of your eye isn't, just give us a call).

Beautiful maritime stripes from Japan. These are 100% cotton, heavier than a jersey, just shy of being a sweater knit. They would make up into a lovely light Linden sweatshirt or a spot on Dress No. 2 (you can totally make it in a knit) for fall.

Raindrops fallin' on your doublegauze - but you can't be too upset because they're such beautiful raindrops. Wouldn't these be so sweet as part of the Modern Baby Set? And they're available online.

On the left we have an upholstery weight fabric with swans and on the right mustard and grey cats on twill. Perfect for back to school, right?

Another batch of Japanese imports - the silkiest lawn with fawns in candy colored forest, cotton/linen shirting in a cool geometric print, and some lovely, floral linen gauze.

Here are some really luxurious fabrics - Liberty knit! Liberty stretch cotton! Two drop dead gorgeous Japanese plisses! We've had this Liberty knit before (it's called Kelvin, I think) for a hot second and we're so happy to have it back in the store. Liberty stretch cotton is great for a button-up shirt or other structured tops. It has just 4% spandex, so it's still plenty breathable. The plisse is just too beautiful. Come in and have a feel or order some online.

More lovely Tana lawn from Liberty of London. Many of these come from this year's collection and I cannot decide which is the most beautiful. Please help.

Three cheers for rayon crepe!! Far left and center are perfectly crepey, drapey, and wildly fun crepes. Then we've got classy dots on navy in poly, lemon yellow geo design on shirting weight cotton by Josie Severson, and another dramatic print that this photo does not accurately capture on rayon challis.

Here are some fall beautifies, from left to right: cherry red crinkley, gauzy cotton, chain link wool crepe, linen-look navy blue, folksy birds take flight on a nice crisp cotton, and a slinky, textured mustard rayon.

It was such a thrill to open up these beautiful African wax prints. The colors are joyful and the designs are so intricate and considered.

We've got a whole Lotta love for this new collection! Lotta Jansdottir's newest group. Her colors are so fresh, and if there's one thing we know for sure it's that no one can resist a cat print.

I shared with you last week our cotton/linen Rifle Paper Co. group, and here are the apparel weights. Two incredible floral rayons and just about the sweetest flamingo print on a cotton lawn. Word to the wise - these are going fast, so if you have your heart set on one of these beauties, come in asap.

Batik double gauze is an unusual but winning combination. Capture that summer feel with these coastal colors and prints.

Organic cotton voile from Mona Luna. With horses, birds, and triangles, these collection is a real triple threat.

Finally, some sweet organic double gauze, also from Mona Luna. These cheerful blooms add a lift, whether they're made up into swaddling blanket or sweet top.

I've definitely forgotten some of our new fabric - oh, oh! Like linen knits in some new colors and some linen stripes and checks in new colors. So come have a look!
