Thanksgiving Aprons

by Cameron

We're starting a new holiday tradition here at Bolt - November is apron month! After all, what better way to get ready for a season of cooking and feasting than making a fresh apron or two to get you through those long days in the kitchen? It's been so fun to see what each staff member has chosen to make.

Hannah made a simple and lovely reversible cross back apron using a pattern by Indygo Junction. One side is a classic Essex yarn-dyed cotton/linen blend, and the other side is a surprising splash of hot pink lawn.

Nadia made the charming Gathering Apron by Sew Liberated in a Japanese cotton/linen blend with tiny red hearts and a dotted chambray as an accent. I love all of the sweet details on this apron - pleats, scoop pockets, little bows.

Gina made the pretty Emmeline Apron, also by Sew Liberated, with two coordinating mid-weight cotton prints with a homesteading theme. It's perfect for Thanksgiving!

I wanted a smock type apron just as good for making a mess with paint as it is for cooking dinner. The Origami Apron by Indygo Junction was perfect. I made it in cotton/linen blends. The apples are by Cotton + Steel, and the blue is a lovey and hefty Mochi solid.

Hope you've enjoyed our apron parade as much as we have! Maybe you'd like to join us in making an apron next year?
