Bolt girls' wishlist

—by Hannah

I believe I can speak for all the girls at Bolt when I say that we crave color. We do a lot of dreaming here and there’s no use keeping it to ourselves. Have a look in our lookbook and be inspired.

Gina dreams of Amy Butler’s Sandlewood Jacket in a piece from Anna Maria Horner’s Lou Lou Thi line. The lining is a lovely voile that just arrived from Amy Butler’s newest line Cameo. She would like to extend one side of the coat and fasten it with buttons instead of leaving it open without a closure as the pattern suggests.

Amy has a wild side. This knit is so fun! She would like to sew this very simple blouse from Tanya Whelan’s Sew What You Love. This book is full of so many simple projects that are very gratifying.

I’m jealous of April’s dream. Very classy. Liberty and Colette seems like the perfect marriage. Need I say more?

Heather chose a lovely crosswoven linen and Sewaholic’s Cambie dress. I love it. This linen is the sister of the linen she suggested I use to sew up the Lonsdale.

I chose this beautiful Indian orange silk linen blend to sew Jamie Christina’s Miz Mozelle dress. This pattern suggests a knit or fabric with stretch though you can use a fabric without stretch. I will be sure to size up one for the bodice, sleeves, and collar.
