I’ve been day dreaming about a summer quilting project. Something with bright colors against clean, white negative space. Here are some of the patterns that I can’t get out of my head.
Pretty much anything by Carolyn Friedlander fits the bill, but I’m especially liking the botanical feel and the beautiful pieced binding on the Palmetto.
The Colorist, by Lizzy House, is simple and modern. The design really allows the quilting to take center stage.
Denyse Schmidt is a favorite of mine. Big Charming would be dead simple to put together and a lovely way to use up all those scraps.
Do you like to take on a big project to mark the summer season?
