Just In: Oilcloth, whales and Meadow by Leah Duncan

by Gina

A while back Art Gallery Fabrics decided to branch out beyond Pat Bravo’s eccentric, pleasing designs to be able to offer a range of prints from a fabulous collection of designers.  One of their designers is Leah Duncan and she’s creating some beautiful fabric.  And, it’s all printed on that lovely, silky cloth Art Gallery uses, making it great for apparel as well as quilting/ crafting.  Leah has even caught the eye of the folks over at Portland’s Schoolhouse Electric.  You can see her textiles sewn into bed linens and shower curtains here.

“Hearty Good Wishes” by Janet Clare for Moda is moving fast around here.  Those long, slender whales are hard to resist.  And, who doesn’t love a good ship print, after all?

New oilcloth has arrived! Some non-wild-fruit-combo prints, great for covering a table, shelves, under a highchair or kids crafting area.

We also received new organic cotton voile from Cloud 9, the Palos Verdes collection. So soft and pretty.

A few details to note—our donation day is coming up this weekend. This Saturday, February 22nd, we’ll be donating 10% of the day’s total to Ethos.  See the last post on here for more details.

We will be closed next Monday and Tuesday, February 24th and 25th for our annual staff retreat.  We’ll be busy sewing up new samples for the store and look forward to sharing them with all of you when we return!

See you soon!
