New Rolls, Tubes, and Otherwise Cylindrically Wound Fabric

New Liberty Tana Lawn

--Melissa

Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in the sale on Saturday.  I picked up some featherweight sheers and some speckled hemp cotton blend.  As if on cue, several boxes of new fabric were delivered this weekend-- the apparel bins are full again!  There are, among other things, new french terry, organic cotton knit, and other types of jersey (lots of blues, which I'm not complaining about at all, and a gorgeous light pink and grey stripe that would be great for fall pjs).

The long awaited shipment of Liberty Tana Lawn is here and it's a big one.  Be still, my heart.  There is more, including the maps which are back and some new floral hiding back there.

Cotton Imports

These are three of at least eight new hand printed cottons from around the world (specifically Bali, Java and Brazil).  They have a lovely hand and a rich palette.  I particularly love the Ikat, and am currently revising my opinion on how I feel about batiks because these are just so beautiful.  Fall doesn't mean I stop sewing lightweight cotton tops, dresses or skirts.  It just means I start taking stock of my cardigan and sweater collection to layer things up. I'll be putting my new sheers to good use.
