Just in: Organic cotton, more African prints, metallic and more!

by Gina, photos by Heather

A whole slew of organic cotton prints arrived in the past week.  Including some of Cloud 9’s Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus by Mo Willems, and Birch Fabric’s The Grove, pictured below.

The top two photos show off the canvas weight prints, the lower photo is of medium weight prints.  Great colors.  I’m not sure why, but this group has a sort of nostalgic feeling for me…I’m loving the big tree and thatch-y background.

These stunning prints are a welcome addition to our already amazing collection of African wax prints.  You’ve got to see these in person.  The colors, the designs, the scale.  So refreshing.

Mark Cesarik’s Summer Camp is delightful.  Two tone ferns, fishing lures, stylized tree rings.  I first saw Mark’s fabric designs on-line via his and his wife’s Sew Bettie site.  You can read up more on him here.

A little bit of In the Navy from Camelot and who doesn’t want a little gold metallic chevron in their life?!

Our selection of the lighter-weight “textured solids” from Andover is growing!

And, some of the latest patterns to fill our bins.

Remember, we’re happy to ship things out, just give us a call or shoot us an email!

And, if you’re in town, come on in and say hi!

Just in: Railroad denim, robots galore, Slow Sewing Studio and more

by Gina, photos by Heather

I’m a huge fan of striped denim and Kaufman has delivered! These new Railroad Denims are fantastic.  There’s a wide array, some with stretch, some not, navy, black, grey.  There are chambray pieces as well, for a lighter, summer weight.

Lots of robots from Robert Kaufman.  Two color palettes—one bright, one soft.

Cheery reds and blues in the Happy Go Lucky group from Moda.  Ready for summer picnic napkins, bunting, farmers’ market totes.

I’m very excited about the new Textured Solids from Andover.  This is the beginning of our shipment, many more colors are on their way! Lovely, lighter weight, slightly slubby texture.  Perfect.

This elegantly playful group, Blythe, arrived last week from Kaufman.  Rich colors, bold florals, fresh dots.

The talented Carolyn Friedlander showcased her new Slow Sewing Studio patterns at Quilt Market a few weeks ago.  The perfect summer projects—you can enjoy stitching in the garden, the beach, the front porch, the back deck.  They are lovely.  Her write up about these patterns is just as lovely.  Take a look here.

See you soon!
