Don’t you love when you have a secret to share? We’re pretty excited around here to spill the beans about our newest product. Several months ago we started talking about the idea of partnering with a local artist and printer to produce some custom tea towels for the store. Today we are thrilled to be sharing the results of that collaboration with you.

Many of you may already be familiar with Melissa Rau’s exceptional work through her lovely store, Red Bird Studio. Mel is a talented artist and a loyal customer of Bolt’s so it was natural to think of her right away when we began the brainstorming process. And it turned out that the delicate style of Mel’s work paired beautifully with our orginal vision. I was pretty thrilled when we met to look at the first round of drawings!

The finished artwork made its way down the street to the Make House, where Nathan Reimer hand printed it onto 200 towels. How fortunate we are to have so much talent right here on our very own street!

These towels are 100% cotton and are available in two colors: bright white and creamy natural white. They will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 12th—the first day of our Big Sale—and would make excellent Mother’s Day gifts or souvenirs.

Baking homemade breads and cookies? This is such a great thing to have around to make those special baked goods all tied up in a perfect package! Bakers twine is in stock in great colors. Available by the yard or buy a whole spool for a significant savings. 

Polka dot tea towels are back in stock.  Get some fresh tea towels for the cooking that is going down this week! Make a quick tea towel apron for helpers in the kitchen.

We also carry cheese cloth by the yard which can be useful to have around for various cooking uses. Happy prepping and cooking!  A reminder that we will be closed this Thursday and Friday (Nov 22nd & 23rd).
