Entries in Japanese fabrics (8)
Yesterday was a day of deliveries! Not only did we receive just shy of 30 bolts from the Cotton and Steel collection, but also apparel goods from Westminster and Kaufman, part of Tula Pink’s new “Moonshine” group, a sweet trio of Japanese imports, and we’re fully restocked with Otter Wax. Phew! There were a whole lot of boxes to be broken down.
Let’s get the photos rolling, shall we?
First up, Tula Pink’s “Moonshine.”
Printed cotton voile and rayon from Heather Bailey’s “Momentum.”
These sweet pieces are Japanese imports, from top to bottom: linen blend, double gauze (so cute!), and seer sucker-like cotton.
And, Cotton and Steel: a powerhouse group of designers including Alexia Abegg, Kim Kight, Melody Miller, Sarah Watts and Rashida Coleman-Hale. You can certainly see their individual styles, within a group that was designed to all work together. Fun!

So many choices, I think my project list just doubled.
See you soon!

The past week we’ve been busy receiving some great new items. The first part of our latest Japanese order has arrived, including a couple of Echino dots on cotton / linen, a very sweet floral double gauze and a super cool sprirograph, geometric, optical illusion sort of print. The photo really doesn’t do it justice, these are ones you’ve just got to come in to see!
More of the fantastically drapey Robert Kaufman Brussels linen rayon blend has arrived too! You know the one, Heather sewed it up into that gorgeous Go Anywhere Dress here.
Also in this past week are new patterns (for us) from Make It Perfect.
Lastly, we are very excited to be able to offer you another Portland made product—Otter Wax!
We currently have in store the regular size Otter Wax bar, Fabric Dressing and Canvas Cleaner. The wax and dressing offer all natural protection from the elements for all your canvas goodies. The cleaner, well, it helps keep your waxed goodies clean! Come check them out.

Every so often there’s a fabric that comes to the store that I know I will be sad to see gone. Currently, the crane print above is that fabric. It is my favorite, so much so that I’m a little hesitant to show it off. These four pieces are the latest Japanese fabrics to arrive, the top two designs are from Echino.
We happily welcomed these pretty, pretty block prints. The cotton is so light and lovely, perfect for some summer clothing, especially for weather like we’re having at the moment.
Pinwale corduroy from Robert Kaufman and more great Kaffe Fassett stripes. Who doesn’t love a good stripe, right?
See you soon!
