spring. yes spring!

by Hannah

Our neighbor brought us flowers this morning and it made me think to sew a spring dress. Ha. Funny how many of my thoughts lead me to some sewing project that I must add to my list (of things to sew). Around here spring means sew a spring dress.

Knit or stretch woven suggested. Would be lovely in Liberty of London or cotton/silk.

Would be lovely in linen in my opinion.

I imagine this in one of the Free Spirit voiles that just arrived yesterday. I’m in love with the seafoam.

This one is for those of you who love all things sewn in knit.

See you soon!

Just In: Charleston Farmhouse, more knits and lawn

by Gina

It’s been a long time since I’ve ordered a line in its entirety.  When I was shown Charleston Farmhouse by Felicity Miller, I fell in love and knew I wanted to have the whole line there on our shelves.  It’s a great line.  Interesting, fresh colors, simple, clean designs.  A prefect combination!  The pictures don’t include each piece, but offer a glimpse of what is gracing our shelves at the moment.

We also received more fabulous cotton/hemp knits in funky prints and a pair of gorgeous Alexander Henry cotton lawn prints:

It’s almost time to choose our next Flickr Inspiration winner!  Don’t forget to upload your images to our Flickr pool to enter yourself and enjoy viewing others’ amazing creations.

Just in: home dec sateens and more wool!

by Gina

We’ve just welcomed into the store some gorgeous new home decor weight cotton sateen from Free Spirit.  Bold designs, bright red, classic navy, soft grey and mustard gold, and soft grey and pink.  This fabric is great for recovering chairs, pillow covers, bags of all sorts and even apparel that needs a little more structure, like an a-line skirt!

Wanting something a little warmer?  We have a fantastic wool selection at the moment.  And, it just grew larger this week!  A couple of solid, 100% wool pieces along with a black/white wool blend and a super cozy navy cotton blend sweater knit (top bolt) got unpacked earlier this week.  Lovely!

And, who wouldn’t be into some great new Japanese prints?  I’m particularly fond of the one with the warrior gear….Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!  We’ll see you Saturday (remember, we take a break on Thursday and Friday) for triple Supportland point joy!
