Entries in Cloud 9 Fabric (9)

The complete “Bark and Branch” line from Cloud 9 arrived this week and is gorgeous. The black, white, pink, golden yellow, red…all work so well together. Such a fresh palette. Four colors of the leaf print on canvas are available as well. You can check our Instagram feed an image of those. Pretty, pretty.
We’re well stocked with organic cotton prints at the moment. This group is part of Alyssa Thomas’s latest line, “Critter Patch” for Clothworks. Sweet animal prints.
Just in time for holiday sewing—a little bit of sparkle. These glittery polka dots are festive, fun for an accent on a larger piece, a bag lining, or a flashy holiday dress for a wee one…we can certainly help you find ways to incorporate this fun design into a project!
A reminder that this Saturday, November 23rd, is our donation day for the Oregon Food Bank. Please stop in and help us support a very important organization.
Lastly, a big announcement for us: gift certificates are now available on-line! You can purchase them here.
See you soon!
I often joke around here about how fast April’s hands must move to be able to rearrange the store so quickly to accommodate new things. She worked her magic again yesterday. I came in this morning to find the huge pile of new tubes of apparel fabric shrunk down to just two pieces left needing a home.
I recently had a round of appointments with jobber who purchase fabric from designers and then parcel it out to retail stores and other designers. This means we get some really interesting items that you may recognize from Banana Republic, J.Crew, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein…Let’s start showing them off, shall we?
Beautiful muted tones in these cottons. A great bottom weight brushed twill on the far left, a super soft, grown up flannel in taupe (and we have navy too, not shown) from Marc Jacobs, two hand dyed gorgeous cottons, an embroidered piece and the J.Crew print cotton on the right. I love the pop of the royal blue in there!
A couple of bold graphic heavier weight cottons.
I’ve started to dabble in poly prints. Knits on the right, chiffon on the left from Banana Republic. We also picked up a couple of solid color poly ponte knits in grey and red and a quite amazing silver sparkle red poly knit. Perfect for so many occasions!
These beauties are silk cotton blends on the left to center and all silk on the right. Lovely.
We’ve received a lot this past week. In addition to all those great goodies, we have some organic cottons to show off:
A new line of organic cotton prints from Moda and new organic cotton flannel (it’s soft!) from Cloud 9:
And, not pictured, we have pieces from the Eiko line from Birch Fabrics, and more colors of those fabulous textured solids from Andover.
If you’ve started to think about and possible plan holiday sewing, we do have a nice collection of winter/ Christmas oriented prints for you. Just ask, we’re happy to show you where they are!
Slowly but surely, we’re receiving our orders from Kokka, including these fab prints from Ellen Luckett Baker’s line, “Stamped,” and a couple of animal prints too. These are on a slightly heavier weight (than typical quilting weight cotton) cotton linen blend.
A very exciting box from Cloud 9, with these fantastic organic prints! We’ve got skulls, “The Land That Never Was” by Lisa Congdon, and “Koi” from Rashida Coleman-Hale. Cloud 9 has started to have some of their designs printed on a lovely organic cotton voile. We received three of Rashida’s Koi prints on this silky soft, lovely, lovely fabric!
And, all sorts of delights from Westminster Fibers/ Free Spirit! Top: Joel Dewberry’s “Bungalow.” Middle: Heather Bailey’s “Lottie Da.” Bottom: on left is Felicity Miller’s “Botanica” and on the right is Tula Pink’s “Acacia.” Loving how the blues and yellowy-greens play so nicely between these two and Felicity’s ealier group, “Charleston Farmhouse.”
See you soon!
