It’s always fun to walk around and see all the new things in the store after being away. This past week was full of that for me, as we welcomed in more Liberty and Kaffe Fassett prints (see last week’s Just In post for those). And, we’ve got a whole new selection of goodies to show off this week.
Let’s start with these gorgeous heavy weight cotton yard dyed pieces, perfect for a picnic blanket to keep in the car…’tis the season, after all. I was also imaginng a very colorful Ship Shape Tote with a pair of Hannah’s leather handles out of one of these (all one, not cut up into pieces).
And more apparel fabrics, including a variety of knits (top pic), silk, rayon and cotton (middle pic) and three sweet Swiss dot in lovely shades (bottom pic):
And, some awfully cute medium weight cotton prints: foxes and hares, who can resist?
See you soon!
We’ve slowing been announcing the opening up of our new online store. It is something we’ve been asked about a lot over the years, and while we knew we couldn’t replicate our brick and mortar store, we worked out a selection of goods we felt were unique to the store and / or were requested frequently from faraway supporters. So, check it out. We’ll be adding more product, and feel free to let us know what you’d like to see up there. You can find it under the “shop” tab on our site, or just click here.
As always, whenever you see something here on the ol’ Bolt Neighborhood that you would like to have in your fabric collection, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’re more than happy to work with you to get you what you want.
Ok, onto fabric arrivals.
The newest designs from Parson Gray, that bottom print if by Brandon Mably.
And, new beauties from Martha Negley. She is one of my favs, I just love her style. I’ve used her past twig and horsetail prints in a variety of ways and have a collection of her other botanical prints waiting to be partnered with the perfect project. Even with something as current as feathers, I find her rendering timeless. You can see her previous feather print featured here in Heather’s gorgeous throw.
We have a “welcome back” to mention: white bubble gauze. You can check out April’s sweet printed swaddling wraps here. This is also a great choice for light, breezy summer attire.
See you soon!
I’m a big, huge really, fan of Anna Maria Horner. I’ve enjoyed most pieces she’s created over the years and have a whole lot of her things adorning my house and hanging out in my stash. This new group from her latest line, “Pretty Potent,” is no exception. Her colors glow, her scale is bold, and the designs themselves vary widely within a line. All things I adore. Hope you do too!
Stay tuned for apparel goods from this collection coming soon.
New trim! Well, the cherry trim is brand spankin’ new, the other two just look so nice with it, I couldn’t resist putting them in the picture.
Other new things around the store:
- Fabulous children’s and women’s clothing patterns from Green Bee (the great folks that brought us this bag)
- A lovely selection of sashiko sampler patterns—13” squares with the stitch pattern printed on. A must have for those of us who like to keep busy while out and about in the summer months.
- Karen Kay Buckley’s “Perfect Pins.” These really are perfect. They are super thin and sharp, so they ease on into your fabric, smooth like soft butter on warm French toast. I know, that’s totally over the top, but I really am quite smitten with these pins.
- Recycled poly thread cabinet! We’re pretty darn excited to offer a wider range of poly colors, and now on small spools too, and recycled no less! Same great Gutermann quality.
Don’t forget to check out the sure-to-be-moving show “Listen to your Mother” at the Alberta Rose Theatre on Sunday!
See you soon.
