Entries in andover fabric (4)
It’s been a little while since my last Just In post…I hope you all have enjoyed a healthy, happy end of 2012 and start to 2013. Thank you to many of you who expressed your support of us taking a bit of a break over the holidays. It’s nice to hear! OK, let’s get down to it. We’ve received a whole lotta goods over the past few weeks, here are a few quick highlights. A selection of Timber and Leaf by Sarah Watts for Blend Fabric, mixed with some other goodies…
Constellations by Lizzy House for Andover Fabrics.
Apple Jack from Moda.
Love Notes from Andover. We also received part of the High Tide group from Andover!
We have a new selection of Liberty of London cotton lawn prints on their way. So exciting. And, we have so many great things planned for the coming year. Stay tuned for info on our resurrected Organization of the Month program, and hear about January’s featured organization!
If you follow us on Facebook, you may have seen the post about a month ago from Kate of Wippowillow, saying she was working on the fabrics for our collection. We have been SO excited about this collaboration. It’s only a collaboration in the sense that we’re providing a place to show off and sell these beauties. Kate did all the work. She designed and silk screened the above collection specifically for Bolt. We are so thrilled and honored to have something so special and so local! I have asked Kate some questions to be able to share more insight with you all and will post them later this week with more pictures. Stay tuned and better yet, come by and see the collection in person!
I’m not sure if it’s the color palette of grey, aqua, dark blue and pink or the sweet pink coo-coo clocks with antlers that has me loving the group Storybook Lane by Kelly Lee-Creel. There’s a piece in the middle of the picture that is designed to be able to make your own stand up little house with little story book finger puppets. Cute! I can envision the small florals as girls’ dresses quite easily…
It’s always a great day when we open a box of new Nani Iro double gauze prints. These lovelies are so gorgeous, soft, with Naomi Ito’s beautifully simple, subtle yet colorful designs. My imagination is running wild with the many apparel items that could be perfect with these pieces—summer dresses, tunics for any time of year, children’s clothing. And, then there’s the easy-breezy baby wrap. A swaddling blanket in double gauze is a wonderful gift for the new mama in your life!
It seems like there’s a new nautical print coming out of every corner these days, and I have been enjoying them. I particularly like it when things are mixed up a little bit—a little something unexpected, like these blue lobsters from Michael Miller Fabrics.
Don’t forget, we’ve got lots of exciting events on the horizon! First, Denyse Schmidt is joining us at Modern Domestic for a book signing this Friday. The following weekend, August 4th and 5th will be a store-wide sale: all products (books, patterns, notions, buttons, fabric, really, all products) will be 20% off. All currently marked down items will be an additional 10% off. And, to add to the excitement, our neighbors, Close Knit will be joining in on the sale! Wow. That’s a weekend event not to be missed. And, the weekend after that—come on out and enjoy the festivities at the annual Alberta Street Fair. Good times for all!
