Just In: knits, voile, Essex and more

by GinaThese great new knits (top pic) and voile (lower pic) are making me think summer sewing! All but the interesting “snaggy” knit are from Art Gallery, and just like their fantastic quality quilting weight cotton, these knits are soft and stretchy and the voile is airy and silky. I continue to be impressed with their fabrics! And, a few new prints on quilting weight are here too:

Fabulous new colors of Andover chambray….and a metallic! It’s tricky to see those silver metallic threads on the white, but they’re there. Our latest Essex colors and a great two color seersucker. We also have classic red/white and greyish-navy/white. These sweet Scandinavian birds are a welcome addition to the mix.

We are restocked with dish toweling. Come and get it! And, we mentioned it last week, but I thought I’d toss in a photo of this great new line from Cloud 9, organic cotton:

Happy sunny Thursday! Enjoy and we’ll see you soon.

Just In: Liberty of London and Blenders

By April

Liberty of London prints have arrived!

A book about Liberty projects for inspiration.

Subtle tone on tone small scale prints from Dear Stella and Andover.

Some apparel weight pieces from Theory and Jcrew silk cotton blends.

One more fun group from dear Stella. Pink elephants with some great companion pieces.

If you live outside of the Portland area and would like to get your hands on some of these goodies, give us a call. We are happy to ship out.

Happy Sewing!

Just in: Mo Bedell, Malka Dubrawsky, Art Gallery and more

by Gina, photos from Heather

This week we have welcomed pieces from Portland local, Mo Bedell’s latest group “Hothouse Flowers” for Andover.

And bright new designs from Malka Dubrawsky:

Art Gallery’s Bonnie Christine is sure to please with her latest group, “Sweet as Honey.”

And some great new goodies from the folks at Michael Miller, including the retro inspired, “Jug or Not.”

Just yesterday we were busy making room for a shipment of shot cottons.  You know the ones, so lovely and soft, beautiful colors, yard dyed and woven….opening boxes of webbing and fold over elastic, and moving more trims into the sale section.  Come see what’s new!
